Chances are, at some point in the last week or two you’ve encountered at least one online ad that features:

😕 Super sculpted women performing feats of fitness that make you feel tired just watching them

😕 Exercise bikes that you’d need a bank loan to pay for

😕 Strange “patented” exercise contraptions that look more like torture devices

😕 Or, workout apps/programs that actually look great – but the cost of admission is just a little higher than you’re willing to pay right now

And all of it feels way more intimidating than motivating.

Like, instead of wading into warm shallow waters, these programs expect you to jump into the frigid deep end with maximum effort – and investment.

Girl, I hear you. You’re not wrong to feel that way.

Because although investing in a fitness program or app can be a life-changing decision, you shouldn’t be made to feel like you have to spend a lot of money on a super challenging or complicated program, especially when you’re just getting started. (Or maybe restarting after a long time of a decidedly less-than-active lifestyle.)

When you’re just testing the waters of a lifestyle change, you need something that’s simple and walks that line between challenging and motivating.

That’s why I made –

FAQ

What kind of results can I expect from this challenge?

As with any workout schedule, you get back what you put into it. If you keep an eye on your calories and don’t take in more than you’re expending, you will see positive results. But perhaps even more importantly, you’ll have developed an ongoing exercise habit and will be primed to take the next step in your fitness journey!

Is any equipment needed?

This is an equipment-free schedule, designed for people who want or need to work out at home. The only things you really need are trainers and possibly an exercise mat. A wearable fitness tracker is also beneficial but optional.

What if I don’t know how to do one of the strength-training exercises?

For your convenience, the PDF includes a link to a resource page where I give an explanation of all the exercises. Also, these are common exercises and a quick Google search will yield any tutorial you need in seconds.

Are cardio workouts included?

Cardio is included in the schedule, but what you do for those cardio workouts is up to you! (The planner does offer up a few ideas though!)

What are the planner’s dimensions?

8.26 x 11 inches – formatted for a standard piece of printer paper.

Who are you?

My name is Corrie Alexander, an exercise enthusiast and owner of The Fit Careerist. I lost 20+ lbs in 2017 and I’m happy to report that I’ve kept it off ever since. Those first 10 pounds were lost largely by counting steps and integrating shorter, simpler workouts into my weekly routine. These days, I’m a total fitness app junkie and am always testing out the latest workout app. I also completed Felix Harder’s Health and Wellness Coaching certification course in March 2020 so that I can more effectively help you with your own fitness journey!
